OH MY GOD, I'M FAT!

Ok weigh in was at 6:45 this morning and it just plain ugly. Yes I am along ways from where I want to be. Baby step number one, Done. I agreed to do something. Baby step number two, Try and beat Boomski and the good RN (and any other contestants) in the 30lbs challenge.

You're not fat - there is just more of you to love!

When the doc weighed me last year I was over 370 but since the scales tipped at 365 we were't exactly sure what my weight was but he had a best guess....in october I was somewhere between 295 and 305....and I am still going. Had a brief hiccup for the holidays (darn cookies anyways!) but now I am getting back on track. My knees feel better - which was a real discouragement. RN is probably more knowledgeable on how to start. Probably better looking than both of us put together too....so give yourself a starting point and work forward from there.

Once you get to 30 lbs....then you start wanting more....but the first 30 is the motivator for now.

Yayayayaya I got your point. Your goat is roaming around free in your front yard with a sign around his neck that says 'FREE GOAT'. I'd barely have to shake a stick, and your goat would come running."

Since my blood pressure alert back in late October, I have stopped drinking Ale, Cider or lager. I have a Gin and Tonic in the late evening, a couple of glasses of white before dinner and then some red with the meal. The weight is falling of me - I have had to tighten my belt one notch, and the kids are saying I am wasting away.

I cannot believe how many calories there must be in ale. Although I do miss "havin a jar" down at the local.

can't do thirty pounds, I've already lost 60, but that last 20 is hard to take off. It's been hanging around for a year.
I did the change one thing, pick something, change that, pick something else change that...slowly, I lost the weight.

Some big things to try(took off 20 lbs this way)
1)only eat fresh or frozen vegetables and fruits(canned vegetables have salt, a lot of canned fruits have sugar added, and not much fiber)
2) Use olive oil in cooking (frying or sauteing)
3) switch from white to brown...rice and bread.
4) Avoid High Fructose Corn syrup like the plague!

I have to get an exercise program started..I start one and get injured, and then have to stop while the injury heals. Stupid stuff happens, like my back seizing up because I walked too fast on a treadmill.
Must start again!
