Ah, the phonetic spelling! It's better than "Or-EEE-Gone" Not that much rain here today. We had sunshine, and we plan to keep it! RE: The Weather Thread - Boomer - 03-18-2011 06:48 AM I remember in high school in BEaverton we used to see folks with that on their tshirts. I think they still make them with that phonetic spelling, too. We had a weather guy here who retired recently who always used the WRONG pronunciation. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard! RE: The Weather Thread - RN-PRN - 03-18-2011 01:16 PM Another beautiful day. Not quite as warm, but I'll take it! Saw lots of bikes on the road when I was out and about this afternoon...sure sign of spring. RE: The Weather Thread - Boomer - 03-18-2011 01:38 PM Those durn bikers. Always the FIRST sign of spring is the biker hoardes that seem to pepper the roadways with their loud exhausts, big bikes, and leather outfits. Almost brings a tear to me eyes! You can smell spring coming - birds chirping. Almost all the snow on my lawns have melted. Let's just hope it stays that way! |
