Windy blustery cold misty .... almost makes you want to move to Puerto Rico and sit on the beach! Maybe THAT'S why I'm comfortable with Oregon weather! It's in my genes to be content with overcast, rainy Scottish weather! RE: The Weather Thread - Boomer - 03-22-2011 07:01 PM UH OH - TORNADEEES a coming! Just got a report of tornadoes about 50 miles away and the storm line is headed this a way. Woohoo! RE: The Weather Thread - RN-PRN - 03-22-2011 07:02 PM Just don't be like me last summer and watch a funnel cloud go overhead while another one was touching down a few miles away ![]() Stay safe! RE: The Weather Thread - Boomer - 03-22-2011 07:07 PM Who ME???? I would NEVER stare up at a funnel cloud. I'd grab my camera FIRST! When I first got married, I was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina at the shipyards, and my wife and I were standing in a veranda of sorts watching the storms roll in, and dummy me stuck his arm out towards the clouds, and felt a nice electrical current travel up my arm and out the seat of my pants. I laughed my butt off for all of about two minutes when I saw a series of funnel clouds approaching from the same cloud that just zapped me. That was all the hint I needed. |
