got about 2" of rain, 5" of snow and the sump pumps been running darn near non-stop just north of Saint Paul.

So how did the storms by you last night play out? Get hit at all? They must have fizzled out by the time they got to IL, they never even woke me up.

Well, about 10 last night, we had so much lightning and wind I thought my oak trees were a goner, but it was mostly just some rain and wind, although about 10:22 last night I saw about the biggest bolt of lightning shoot across the sky and light up about half the state. No hail here, but there were some videos of some funnel clouds that hit around Des Moines yesterday.

Yes, I have lots of trees in my yard. I do my share of picking up branches after a storm. Those storms that hit last Saturday, lightning hit a house, and I read about it in the paper the next day. It burned to the ground, it was only about 5 blocks away from me.

We are south of Green Bay and we didn't get the extreme snow, just a few inches. The howling and blowing wind last night was enough to chill you to your bones. Today the snow is slowly melting in the sunshine so maybe spring is on it's way back.
