93 degrees and humid today. More of the same tomorrow. I am loving it. Reminds me of visiting my parents down in Florida in July.

Yes, this is the first major heat wave of the summer here in the Midwest. I spent some of yesterday outdoors working on some house trim and painting. I enjoyed it actually, it felt good out there.

This is what everyone wanted all winter, so get out there and soak it up. Cool

This is too funny. Mrs B and I had a little alone time earlier, and we're just laying on the bed when we hear a crash, a slam, and footsteps. The next sound we hear is our eldest daughter, eyes hiding in her arm, feeling for the doorknob, asking in a rather squeely shaky voice...."Didn't you two hear the TORNADO warning?"......

WHAT tornado warning? Big Grin

I know I know - but I just couldnt resist sharing!

lol. That is too funny.
The cold front is going through here. We've been promised high winds. I hope that doesn't happen!

My weather radio rudely woke us up at 3 am for a severe thunderstorm warning. I stumbled into the other room, turned it off, and fell back into bed. I don't know if we had a storm or not because I fell back asleep immediately. High temp is supposed to be this morning and then it is going to fall into the middle 60s by this afternoon...what a roller coaster of temps in the last two days (yesterday was high in the middle 90s).

It was quite a ruckus last night. Lot's of thundering/lightening and strong winds. The sad part was hearing on the Hubby's pager lightening strikes that hit a barn in a township south of ours which started a fire. You know it was bad when we heard 2 other fire departments go out for aide and another stand by in their house incase they are needed.

I was kinda worried about you folks over there in Wisconsin! I kept looking at those storms building and they just kept getting bigger and bigger. Wonder if my folks house is ok? Michigan took a big whallop!

There were a lot of branches down this morning, but most of the larger stuff was blown down in previous storms...except

The shed at school that was blown by the wind out into the middle of the road last night. Luckily, the guys working on the street blocked it off until we could rally a crew to put it back. I thought it was anchored to the concrete! That must have been a really strong wind last night!

Hang on! Isn't that such a haunting sound, when the sirens go off?
