So far, the weather in the PNW has been beautiful, and nearly 80, with a breeze! It was perfect for the 4th!

You all are making me want to move to a more Northerly clime.
I'll see if I still feel this way, say in November. =)

Yes, it was lovely wasn't it?

How about that big sand storm in Phoenix? I lived in Vegas for 23 years and had one of those blow through a couple of years before we moved up here. It was terrifying - I was sitting in my little Porsche 914 (very small car) and I thought I might end up in Oz!! [Image: icon_eek.gif]

Here's video of the Phoenix sandstorm: http://www.scottwoodphotography.com/Weather/2011StormChasing/15913598_nN77g#1370278891_RDCLM67-A-LB

Just makes you really respect Mother Nature and what She can do!

Watched your sandstorm video, holy crap! That's a good old fashioned black blizzard. Time to load the family and everything in the truck and hit the Mother Road for California. Things will be better there...

That is some fantastic footage! I would hate to be there but at the same time, it would be amazing to watch!

Warm and sticky today, but it beats the "mini" ha! wind storm that blew thru last night. The gusts of wind toppled some fairly large trees.

We're in NE Arizona and watched the sandstorm footage on the news this morning. THAT was CRAZY! The news was saying to pull off to the right side and not drive through them (duh), but I can just imagine what a mess any of that could cause Confused YIKES!
BTW, it's absolutely beautiful, sunny, and about 75 degrees here today Cool

Good to hear from you folks in the area of that haboob (what? Yes, that's really what it's called!). Nice to know that you're all okay. Smile
