June is usually schizophrenic, but it's never gone on into July like this. Not since I moved up here in 1984, anyway....

I'm right up there with you! I heard that it's supposed to be in the 90's on Sunday! I hope that it lasts more than an hour.

I'm gigging tonight (luckily indoors) and have 2 grad parties tomorrow (Saturday, 7/23), the second with a pool. Luckily, Saturday is ONLY supposed to be in the 90's here in Boston.

Had a massive electrical storm yesterday. Rain, Hail, thunder, lightening. We got .54 inches of rain in about 20 minutes. Came on very suddenly, as the sun was out. It IS monsoon season, but that was crazy. A HUGE lightening bolt hit right above the house. We're still discovering things it fried: the smoke alarms, the pellet stove, our weather station, the automatic sprinkler timers. It also tripped several breakers and GFI's, but we never lost power. Weird.

I guess the breakers did their job then, sort of. Do you have lightning rods on the house? They were common on older houses but never see them much anymore.

How do you like having the weather station? Ive seen them around, was it a good one?

Hey, Rey--
No lightening rods. I haven't seen them in decades. The weather station is really nice-fun-interesting-cool. It's made by La Crosse Technology, but I'm not sure of the model number. Ours cost around $200.00. It shows, or used to show ( Sad ) time, date, humidity, wind speed and direction, rainfall, trends, pressure, moon phases, etc. Plus, it had a history feature, so you could look up the last 48 hours of weather.

I have an outdoor wedding to shoot next Saturday in NH. Sure hope this weather breaks by then. Then one in Doyles in JP on Sunday. Been there?

Hmm... Never been to Doyles in JP. My haunt for years was Union St in Faneuil Hall - Hennessey's, Green Dragon, Bell 'n Hand... Doyles looks great and will definitely have to check it out.
