RE: Photography - Rey - 05-15-2011 04:15 PM Nice flowers everyone. I felt inspired! I went out and photographed some beautiful flowers that were blooming in front of my house. Wanted to post one here, but the pictures didn't turn out very well, being blurry and out of focus. Taking pictures of flowers is tougher than I thought. The flower is blurry, and the ground beneath with its leaves and weeds is razor sharp. Oh well, I'm sure the flowers in front of my house will soon start turning into barbed wire anyway, a la "The Wall" movie.
RE: Photography - RN-PRN - 05-15-2011 05:13 PM Here ya go Rey...I made one of my newer pics B & W. [attachment=246] RE: Photography - RN-PRN - 05-15-2011 05:20 PM Did somebody say dandelions? Here are just a few...in the relief drain behind our house. [attachment=250] Our Redbud finally started blooming [attachment=251] RE: Photography - Boomer - 05-15-2011 06:26 PM CURSED BE THY DANDYLIONS!!!!! Pwetty pics though. Nice job, but.....I HATE those infernal weeds RE: Photography - Detroit Dan - 05-16-2011 11:52 AM Loving my new camera canon SX230HS. RE: Photography - Rey - 05-16-2011 03:29 PM Hey RN, yes you have pulled off quite a nice B&W flower, look at that sun peaking around it. But, in the end, color is better for flowers I think, well, because they are so colorful. Even though I didn't think my flower photos were that great, I have decided to post a flower photo anyway, because I like this "flowers of spring" thing that is happening in this thread. Please try to ignore the unkept leaves underneath, and the invading dandelions. These flowers started growing on a little bush in front of my house. I had not really noticed the bush much before, usually its just a bush, but when it is flowering, it is really beautiful. Does anybody happen to know what kind of flowers these are? Since taking the picture, a hailstorm has come and bashed off all of the flowers. Its all part of the transformation from flowers to barbed wire, and the State of Smellinois will finish the job.
RE: Photography - RN-PRN - 05-16-2011 05:29 PM Rey, that would be an Azalea
RE: Photography - Boomer - 05-16-2011 06:48 PM Well, if these don't scatter the roaches for a few days.....now just remember my WIFE put me up to this. Below are two images. Both me. The first one was taken when I was in the navy just before I was married. The other was taken about a week ago whilst fiddling with my new PS camera. Evidence indeed that digital cameras were made to DELETE such ugliness from the face of the earth! This is what happens when you go digging for ONE old photo, and you find a treasure trove of pictures you forgot about. ![]() Taken February 1986, after I wrecked my best friend's Chevy Nova, as is evident by the nice little "blemish" on my nose. ![]() I guess my tshirt is right - "Knucklehead's Garage". Hey - if you can't pick on yourself who can you pick on? RE: Photography - Rey - 05-17-2011 09:14 AM And now its time for...Leave It to Boomer.
