Had to look it up but I think you are referring to Les McKeown if Im not mistaken. Song was "Saturday Night"....and it sure was popular here in the states. I think the song you are thinking of, might be mistaken, but I think its a song called "Remember (Sha La La La)".
But its been awhile since I even heard all that stuff. Like....well, nevermind.

Currently, the new Linkin Park -Living Things. I cannot figure this album out. A bit too much electronic, dubstep "crap", but back to MS rapping and Chester doing his thing that I find to be a fun, energizing listen. I still think 1000 suns is fantastic and still prefer it to this new work. I dont know what it clocks in at, but it seems soooooo short compared to 1000 suns and CA. It may grow on me. I certainly want it too ...

Yeah, I'm having the same issue.... I listen every night during my "me time" while I color. Yes, I color! I have those cool Dover coloring books and nice pencils and markers. It's very relaxing and allows me to do something with my hands while I listen to the awesomeness of this new album
