RE: The Pet Peeve
I couldn't make it any more clearer for me....thats spot on Muffy! I have one or two additions. Consider the following:

Drunken inbred swine who think its ok to beat their wives and kids, then turn around and blow their paychecks.
People - ANYONE who drives around in their car with a cell phone pasted to their ears.
Friday nights without a glass of The Macallan, Balvenie, or whatever blows my hair back!
Politicians
A veteran whose service is forgotten or simply dismissed

RE: The Pet Peeve
My current one is when I am really busy, (ok there hasnt been too much of that lately, but....), no matter when I need the computer(s) to do their stuff and quickly, they sort of stall, spinning hour glasses and other "computer thinking about it" icons, and then the classic after about 15 mins of crawling, "Windows updates, computer will shut down in 10 mins, or shutdown and re-start now".........so Bill Gates, (and Steve Jobs) habitually take control of MY computer and wont let me have it back until THEY have finished playing with it.

I tried switching off the automatic updates, Norton said NO, switch them back on, I removed Norton (with a fight) installed AVG and now I dont get Bill taking over every couple of weeks like I used to, but he still has a snoop every now and then.

The Rise of the Machines.........I am just waiting for mine to become self aware........

She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker"

RE: The Pet Peeve
I never did use automatic updates, but I do admit, then I sometimes forget to go over and do it manually. For antivirus I use Avast, seems to work okay. As far as the wait icons, it seems when you first install windows it works real fast, then over time it goes goofy and starts slowing down at times. I suppose reinstalling windows would clear it up, but who wants to go through that and reinstall all the programs?

People who think that they are legitimate gangsters.

Hey I respect a true blue gangster, good or bad. But
I hate the posers.

Oh sure, she can talk like she's killed a whole room full In front of her friends, until you get her alone and she's begging for her mommy and biting her fingernails till they bleed.

Or the toughguy with the tattoos. You know the punk who gets the 3 dots or the tear drops.

Wait, I know you. You work at a liberary and you take care of wounded puppies for a living.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell anyone. I'm posing!

Don't talk smack about Total!!

Hey NBC, are you sure you had`nt walked into a Peter Sellers movie, The Pink (very apt) Panther......

"Where is your lassence for the minky?"
"I do not need a lassence for the minky"
"That is where you`re wrong my friend"

or

"Does your durgh bit?"
"No my Dog does not bite"
Dod savages Sellers/Clueso
"I thought you said your durgh does not bit"
"That is not my dog"

you should have said, "ah, the melk - it ees over there with the M `n` X"
