Good Salt Subsitute
First of all, I wasn't quite sure where to put this so my apologies if it's in the wrong place.
It's been recommended to me to watch my salt intake. I guess this sort of thing happens when you turn 50. Anyway, this salt substitution was recommended to me and actually it's not bad. It's sort of like a Mrs Dash type of concoction. Note that the ingredients are the dry kind, the type you'd find in the herb & spices aisle in the grocery store. (BTW, for those like myself who are definition-challenged, tsp = teaspoon, tbsp = tablespoon) 1/2 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp basil 1/2 tsp white pepper 1 tsp thyme 1/4 tsp celery seed 1/4 tsp rosemary 1 tbsp onion powder 1 tbsp garlic powder (not garlic salt) 1 tbsp dry mustard Obviously, you can adjust for your personal taste. This goes GREAT on popcorn. Losers visualize the results of failure and live in fear. Winners visualize the results of success and live in abundance. - me |
