So much more interesting and rich sonically.... ---- I'm not one to believe in magic, but I sometimes have a second-sight.... |

The Who's - Quadrophenia. Since they coming to my town in Nov. and playing the entire album. End of Oct. and the first of Nov will be exciting. The polka band twice and finish off with the Who. Does not get better than that.

I still have most of my old albums(Blackmoore's Rainbow, Ronnie Montrose's Gamma project stuff etc), I just don't have a turntable to play em on. ![]() Re JS...I always know I'm hearing something special when I get the compulsive urge to throw a chair through a plate glass window, and JS def fits into that category for me. After mangling stringed instruments for over 30yrs now, I just picked up a cheapo chinese cello. My good buddy and riding partner I mentioned in my intro(the one who surreptitiously purchased and had delivered to my home 3 travelogues written by some guy) is also a burned out concert level cellist, and she's been trying to point me in the right direction(that is, when she's not emasculating me for my "schmaltzy" taste in cello pieces). I really love the incredible range of this instrument and I'll continue to try, but at the moment my level of proficiency produces a sonic fussilade akin to some poor feline being strangled.

ROFLMAO. My brother-in-law is also learning the cello -- he's classically trained in piano and flute, and composes as well. When I was up spending a couple of weeks at his place in May, I was, ah, subjected to his practice, and he's about at the same place you are. I was tempted to take my alto recorder with me to jam a bit, but I'm sure the neighbours would have called the police and the humane society to save the animals inside his house.

I downloaded PLA a few weeks ago when I saw your post. Your nephew's got some chops.
