I drift away from some for years-say stamp collecting (U.S.) and then all of a sudden on a whim pull it out, enjoy it for a season, then out it back again. My problem is that I have so many pastimes! Now I've been getting my Estes Model Rockets ready for a launch before my son turns 13. After that it may be awhile. ...but we share the drums and that will take us into my senior years. Music is never wasted time. Lately this cooking has captivated me as well. It's an excellent new hobby. never a waste of time either... Damn you, Sock Monkey! You are making me remember some of my other hobbies! I too enjoy Stamps. I have a motley collection from around the world and the US. I have some great old examples from the 60's, especially from Southeast Asia (I was there as a lad). And rockets? I always enjoyed my days in that hobby too! Nothing like high powered stuff like that!! The trick is to enjoy the Here and Now while remembering the past and planning a bit for the future... 3--2--1 BLASTOFF Now have some fun...
