RE: Gardening.....
Captain Cholesterol?!

Don`t mention that....I had high cholesterol, but low blood pressure, but now roles reversed......I reckon Docs main thing in life is to make you not enjoy yours.

Over here they are saying older people (dunno maybe 70+) should halve their alcohol intake, many, and I am with them with it, have said "Get stuffed!"

She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker"

Um...what? Oh, sorry, I was distracted by eating this large piece of 3 inch thick Chicago style deep dish stuffed pizza, with sausage and pepperoni. Do you want a piece? I think there is some more over in that box. No, wait, I can see you have a big plate of broccoli you are having for supper, that's good. Just as well, I think I have the last piece of pizza anyway, I always manage to get the last piece. Wink

I like Italian food and Italian roadsters

RE: Gardening.....
If all goes well I will finally have a garden rather soon...but I won't be growing broccoli. Too much of a fuss.

It is easy to grow, but you have to deal with either using a pesticide or picking a bunch of little green worms out of your broccoli head...ewwwww!

The first time I grew broccoli I was completely unaware of these horrible little pests until it was too late. One day I picked a couple heads of broccoli for dinner that evening. With pride I walked back to the house with the beautiful, picture-perfect, pesticide-free broccoli I had lovingly tended to for weeks, anxious to prepare it for my family. In horror I stared into the pot as it was cooking to find, oh I don't know, 40 or so tiny green worms the same exact shade of green as the broccoli floating in the water!! Huh Couldn't touch broccoli, even the store-bought stuff, for at least a month. Undecided

Words to live by Nettie! There are so many places in a head of broccoli for wee little pests to hide, too. Ever seen broccoli flower?? It's actually quite pretty.
