Umm...

RE: Umm...
I know this is sort of off the wall (in here???) but I wonder:

1) Has anyone ever requested that the fellas do a private show

2) Would they consider it

3) What would it set one back to do it "full-force" (lights... pyro... etc) at a specific location.

Anyone think for a moment that I wouldn't try it?

I can barely afford a ticket...that would be far out of my league.
I've seen reports of them getting paid something like 400,000 a show(New York State Fair).
If you have won the lottery, that MIGHT be possible. Otherwise, we should just pick some tour dates...Midwest could be Milwaukee.Big Grin If they play here next year.

Hey - believe it or not, Wichita has a very nice (brand new) arena.
As Bubba would say: "The huge, corporate banking arena."
I truly enjoyed seeing them for the first time in a seat that had nothing to block my view. The sound was very good as well, although granted - the sound system that the guys use is a wonder in itself... as is the lighting. Just fascinating.

Well said, Mufasa. The best sound men are the ones that are invisible.

Very seldom do they get the credit they deserve. Sure, the musicians earn every credit and kudo from their years of working together, but those invisible fellows at the sound and lighting board (and dangling from the overhead light rack) rarely get the positive attention they earn.

Losers visualize the results of failure and live in fear.
Winners visualize the results of success and live in abundance.

Amen, OHR! When I first saw this show last August, I was blown away by the lighting. The sound wasn't so great because of the material (tin?) that the White River shed is made of - so much echo! But the sound in both Vancouver and the Gorge was stellar. It is so hard to get sound right, what with the different venues and each with their own little peculiarities. And let's throw a shout-out to the video folks, too! Heck, all of the crew deserve a round warm of applause. It's not an easy thing to put up, set up, maintain, tear down and transport a big show like the Boys put on. So, thanks crew! (I always go up to the stage when they are tearing down - at any show - and yell out a "thank you" to them) Big Grin

What say ye RUSH folk, rule?

I agree 100%. Do I hear a BubbaFest in the making?

I missed this one....

Absolutely, Mufasa!! I say that we have a squad of "officers" (maybe "deputized" by Michael) that patrol the first 10-15 rows. They have a guitar, a bass, a drum pad and sticks and a list of questions. They test each person, letting them choose their test. If the seatholder passes, they get to stay there. If they don't, they get sent to the back and someone from a pre-approved list gets their seat. Wink

Or we could help Bubba realize his "moving audience" thing Big Grin

Brutus must have forgot to clean his thong before he loaned it out. Its all.....crusty.

Oh my Boomer. You must be mistaken. Momma told me that there are some things one just does not share.

Sacred cows make the best hamburgers.

I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughtnut... I don't need a receipt for the doughnut. I give you money and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario that I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut. To some skeptical friend, 'Don't even act like I didn't get that doughnut, I've got the documentation right here... It's in my file at home. ...Under "D".'

RE: Umm...
Are you saying what happens on the tour bus stays on the tour bus?

Maybe too much caffiene lately. Must adjust that.
