RE: Photography
Some lil' critters we found at our lake house:
We discovered this nest earlier in the year, tucked inside the rail of a ladder we had hanging outside our shed. At that time I could only spy two scrawny heads pokin' up from the depths of the nest, plus two unhatched eggs. Momma Robin kept flitting back and forth, loudly squawking her disapproval of my proximity to her brood. Two weeks later I find [the above-pictured] four fat feathered friends practically overflowing their abode. It took me several tries of sneaking up and stretching as faaaaar as I could to snap a picture then scurrying away, all the while Momma Robin practically beside herself with lamentations of disbelief, as if she were sayin', "Really?! YOU again??!" About a month later the critters were gone, nest still firmly in place, but now with two tiny blue eggs resting inside.... Blah blah blah....yada yada yada! |

RE: Photography
My laptop broke. (OK, I had a few beers and dropped it in the kitchen sink) Fortunately there was no water in it. All my New York pictures are on it. It's just the display that is broke so the pictures are safe but it's killing me that I don't have them. I'm a freak about backing up and burning disks of everything, but I didn't save these yet.

RE: Photography
One question Dan...why were you holding your laptop over the kitchen sink??? Thankfully it is only the screen that broke. Ken bought us an external hard drive that we back everything up on..pics, music, my school stuff, etc. Truthfully, I just backed up my school folder onto the hard drive. I would be screwed if I lost all of that stuff (papers, ppts, etc).
