RE: Listening to..(2)
I actually like polka music, too.... in small amounts. I'm the only person I know who knows how to polka. It's fun!

Have to say that the last song on the new CSPT album hits home for me to an astonishing degree. I've shed several tears while listening. Well done, Bubba!

So, listening to Clockwork. Don't want to discuss it too much here of course (that band forum thing), but anyone else here run big speakers, with lots of low frequencies, and have their whole chair, house shake during that one part on track 4? Like right at the 58 sec mark. That is very strange, that can't be a normal bass guitar, can it? My easy chair felt like I needed to insert a coin...

I like Italian food and Italian roadsters

I'm not an expert on bass guitars, but my neighbors recently asked me if I thought the airport has lowered the approach altitude for landings recently... right around the time I received the new CD in the mail. I just shrugged and said "I dunno."

@ Scythe Matters: I absolutely LOVE the last song on CA! I wrote in my will that I want "Ripple" by the Grateful Dead played at my funeral, but I might be changing it!

Track's 9 and 11 must be played very loud. My Pop came over to the house tonight and he ranged the door bell for 5 minutes before I heard him. He came in and said must be the new polka cd.

Was sitting at a light today, windows up, tunes CRANKED. Some dude with all his windows down rolled past me very slowly looking at me like I was insane. I smiled at him and kept singing along. Smile

Yes, the entire album must be played loudly, I think. I heard that boom, too, Rey. Wasn't sure if it was Bubba or the Gedster what done it but it sure got my attention. Bubba did a lot of deep thumping on this one - I love it!

I stumbled upon the opening bit of the song about shipwrecks yesterday! I was messing about with a D chord (I always play that one first when warming up for some reason) and did the little D-chord fiddle (D, Dsus4, Dm9) and went, "Hey! That's the first bit!" That progression (regression?) appears quite often in CPT songs and others. It's the bit in Presto after "I'm not one to believe in magic" if you're not hearing it.

Ren Man is working on figuring out the last song. He's getting the chords so far.....

And I always sing in the car, CD. Smuck the other drivers! Wink

LOL Especially when driving alone. Thing is, I used to do it in an old beat-up farm truck, to opera on Saturday afternoons.

Now there is a way to freak out people....Big Grin

Duh. The question at the moment should be, "What are we not listening to?"
