Just got the email today that Bubba and Co will be coming to UK, and will be at Brum, (Birmingham) on 22nd May.

Might try and take the girls again to this - last time they were falling asleep (they were only about 10 and 8 at the time), but now we have fast forwarded to 15 and 13 they might be ok.

I think they would love it at their age now. I took my sons to their first show when they were 11 and 9. They are now 14 and 11 and are looking forward to going to another show in the coming year.

I would love to see them again, although the date for Birmingham is a Sunday - which is odd (unless I misread it) - so it will be school day after - still it is RUSH I am sure the teachers would understand, although it will be end of year exams, and for the eldest these lead into the dreaded GCSE official exams next year.

Good point. I took my boys on a school night but it was at the end of the school year. Plus, they were still young and no final exams. I am hoping they will be out of school for the summer when they come this time around.

Being that 4 tickets are more $$ than 2, our girls truly enjoyed their first show of Vapor Trails. The youngest in her freshman year of High School came with us to see them again in the fall of "07. However my oldest says that the summer of "88 still counts even though I was 3 months pregnant with her at the time.

In truth, it would be Utterly terrifying. Actually that would probably be the worst punishment and torture that anyone could give. The sudden overwelming and overtaking feel of panic that begins the onset of shock. Everything about this idea is about to be rejected by ones body functions. The tunnel vision blindness and vacum effect on your senses often times leading to intense vomitting and other radical sudden sicknesses. The chemicals in your brain are being forced to produce and everything is just out of it's norm and muscles now flex and hold permanately. Try to breath deep! Doesn't work, leave me alone! And it's an hour to show time! Your body is spent from the stress of it all and is exhausted. The cold wet hands that won't stop dripping. How can One even hold a stick to warm up? The racing thoughts, the self doubts, OMG! Can I stand off to the side please!
And thank God that there is only ONE man for that job. Well maybe two, Chuck Norris could probably do it Wink

Funny thing - during the Wichita show, there was lady sitting next to me with her husband and she struck up a conversation with me. She told me that this was her first show, and that she really didn't know that much about the music.
I explained that I had been a fan for over thirty years, but oddly enough - this was also my first show.
After a little while, she says, "You know every song... every drum beat... even the big one in front!" (base drum)
The funny part? I made a pact with her. "I'm gonna tell you to count off... when I do, you follow my hand and shout, 2-3-4!
Ok?"
"SURE!!!"
So - the count that follows, "And the meek shall inherit the Earth..." two virgin show-goers screamed out: "2-3-4!!!!"
... and the guys obliged.
She hugged me.
She hugged her husband.
Her husband hi-5vd me.
and Geddy smiled at us.
Life is good.
Forgive me Brutus - that was simply too cool not to share.

When I went to the Minneapolis show, I was sort of air drumming to every song, and hitting about 95% of the drum parts. This rather drunken slovenly lad saw me, tried to keep up, and flipped me the bird after about 5 minutes of him barely able to stand. It may have been my first show, but everybody around me was patting my back for making this guy find a different hiding spot. By the end of the show, there were about 5 of us making almost perfect time. Pretty cool, but I wish I would have been a leeeeeetle closer.
