Merry Christmas to you too. Welcome!
What is Pollo Loco? Like some sort of a crazy moonstruck Venetian traveler? Or is it really the name of an eatery ?

Ooooohh noooooooo !!! Bad meat is not good.
It's like (some) Chinese Food. Some are taken from your local rivers, ponds and back allies. Most Chinese food is great but the bad ones are really really bad. Don't talk smack about Total!! |

I don't eat at Taco Bell, Pollo Loco or any"fast" Mexican restaurants,
because I know some people who have real Mexican restaurants! The food is better and just as fast. And they are the parents of my students, so they don't want to kill the teacher(they me)

Like going back to where Ray Krok discovered the McDonald's brother's first place. I concur with Chip - if you're ever in the American southwest and see that In 'n' Out sign; if you're in the mood for a classic drive-in burger and fries, you are moments away from Nirvana, I kid you not. Their beef is always exceptional (and I grew up on a North Dakota cattle ranch so I'm a bit of a thumbs-up/thumbs-down snob about that); the vegetables they put on top are always crisp and fresh, every single time; they peel and dice fresh potatos for the fries on the spot, every day (never frozen,) and they use cholestrol-free vegetable oil to cook 'em. Another rare thing about In 'n' Out is that they treat their employees very well - which means jobs there are highly sought-after by high school kids, and the ones who get those jobs are very motivated and will bend over backward to make you happy. Their service is so uniformly great and military-efficient that it's almost a head-scratcher phenomenon in this day & age. It ain't gourmet, but it doesn't pretend to be. . |

"Chipotle" just opened about 100 yards from my house and I will agree, good food for fast food. Their mission statement also gets me in the door.
