You know, I've never been a fan of any variety of tomato, unless it's in a sauce, on a pizza, or in a ketchup bottle, but we went to a friends a few years ago and he was frying up some green tomato's and Billie convinced me it would be rude not to at least try one, and, with a little salt & pepper, they were actually quite good! Must have been the beer batter he used!

I may be a Southern gal but I can't deal with green 'maters!

Hey, I just picked our first red tomato yesterday. I saved it for Ren Man because he's been working so hard on the garden room. The gold nugget 'mater bushes are loaded and I can't wait for them to ripen! Pop one in my mouth with a basil leaf.....
