NP for GG?
Lots of chatter amongst the fourth estate about who should be Canada's next Governor General.
For those outside of Canada, the Governor General is the official representative of the Queen and all laws passed by Parliament are required to receive what's called Royal Assent, which essentially means that the legislation receives the approval of the Queen's representative. (Granted, it's a little more complex than that... you can read more about what the GG does here: The Governor General of Canada) The current GG's term is due to expire in September, and a replacement has yet to be named. A few names that have been bandied about are Rick Hansen, Preston Manning, William Shatner, Chief Clarence Louie and others. I wonder if Prime Minister Harper would consider our beloved NP? Losers visualize the results of failure and live in fear. Winners visualize the results of success and live in abundance. - me |

RE: NP for GG?
Captain Shatner, of course! Nothing against NP, but you could rename the entire government "the Enterprise" under the Cap'n!
