Counselor, our tomato plants are just now starting to get proto-tomatoes. We do have some small zucchini and the basil is going now, so we've started eating it with everything... okay not EVERYthing. The slugs ate all our strawberries and are munching the potato plants. I don't know how they get in but I've run out of patience with the little MFers.

Decorative hops, as in they thought they looked nice hanging off of the porch, but didn't know that they really could make beer. I'm finding that a lot of things that they did with the garden don't make sense, like the Hollyhock bush and cone flowers in front of a row of hostas(it would look better in reverse). I'm going to have to fix that eventually... but thanks for the tips on killing them. I'd rather do something natural than use the round up.
