RE: Moto GP
Great thread here. I follow Moto GP as much as I can since I do get Speed TV here. Been a Rossi fan since I started paying attention to the series just b/c he's so great. But I like to see the Americans do well too. I'm hoping that Hayden gets that Ducati sorted out for him.

Would love to see a US round either at Laguna or Indy but my schedule doesn't allow for it this year. Last year buddies and I rode out to Salt Lake City to see the WSBK races. That was a good time, but an awfully long trip on the Tuono. Can't do that trip this year either. Hate it that life gets in the way of necessary and fun motorcycle trips.

I take it you've all seen the documentary 'Faster!' ?
It's wonderful.

Yeah, Rossi is still great! But i think Lorenzo is ready to beat him. As a Ducati Rider i am a fan of the Ducati Marlboro Team, with Casey Stoner and Nicky Hayden (both ex-world champions).

Care to discuss this early 2010 season?

Rossi again for 2010?

Stoner? Hayden? Lorenzo? Pedrosa?

The grid ain't gettin' any bigger thanks to the almight dollar, but perhaps we'll see some good racing for the top 5 this season.

I'll save my breath until some more of you join in Smile

I follow MotoGP quite a bit. A buddy and I are off to Indy in August for the races. Can't wait to go. I was in Daytona last year for the 200 and had a blast. Rossi will be hard to beat, but you never know, the Bmw is a rocket in SBK.

Anyone who's into MotoGP ought to see that, no question. Obi-Wan... I mean Ewan MacGregor did a great job of narration, as well.

I watch MotoGP when I can, but I am more into auto racing myself, specifically LeMans and American LeMans endurance racing.

RE: Moto GP
Been absent here for a bit...a bit too busy. But dang...Rossi broke his leg. Compound tibea fracture (because hey, if you are gonna break it, might as well see what you broke). He's recovering from surgery now and awaiting some feedback on the potential recovery time. Me thinks this is going to make it nearly impossible for him to salvage a run for the title this season.

Looks like Stoner's got no bike this season. I think its going to be the Pedrosa and Lorenzo show this year.

Wow. I had a compound fracture of my femur in a scooter accident back when I was 20. Run into by a taxi full of nuns. That leg is an inch shorter now and I won't even start with the spinal damage. Let's just say I walk like I've fallen down a few too many roads. Compound fractures take a long tome to heal but the tibia is faster than the femur, the largest bone on the human body I believe.

Sacred cows make the best hamburgers.

I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughtnut... I don't need a receipt for the doughnut. I give you money and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario that I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut. To some skeptical friend, 'Don't even act like I didn't get that doughnut, I've got the documentation right here... It's in my file at home. ...Under "D".'

Good grief man. Thats like breaking a Louisville Slugger right in the middle.

I did the tib when I was a lad on a dirt bike. Not compound, but still not fun either. Twas a long way home from the empty countryside I was riding in.

Latest report is that Rossi went through a small second procedure yesterday and is doing well. I saw a video of the crash. He was in practice, coming through a fast chicane - back tire lit up and stepped out for an instant and he got a nasty high-side. More like a catapult launch. He's lucky the leg is all he broke.

RE: Moto GP
Heard and read about that. I agree with it being Lorenzo who's going to take it. Should be interesting to read about this season. I don't have subscriber TV so it's reading... Tongue

RE: Moto GP
I got down to Indy for the MotoGp race. Anyone else here go? It really was a blast, along with the Indy mile race. Great food at the Fairgrounds too. The people in Indy were very hospitable. I'll be back next year!
