RE: Favourite Films
Well speaking of PIRATES! Mrs B and I went to see that movie Saturday night. WITHOUT KIDS - Woohoo!
Its not a bad film, but it certainly isnt a great film. It has its moments especially when they start showing the mermaids! Johnny D is his usual piratey self, but Penelope Cruz? HUBBA WUBBA HUBBA wuf! They missed a lot of the old crew, but Blackbeard I loved - real thinkin man that one. All in all fairly enjoyable, but I'd rather have seen the matinee. I did feel a certain sort of sadness at the sight of the sea, the mermaids. Remembered a poem I saw when I went to sea for the first time: O, train me not, sweet mermaid, with thy note, To drown me in thy sister's flood of tears. Sing, siren, for thyself, and I will dote; Spread o'er the silver waves thy golden hairs, And as a bed I'll take them and there lie, And in that glorious supposition think He gains by death that hath such means to die; Let Love, being light, be drowned if she sink! Antipholus of Syracuse For You Steve & Monica - Your Love will forever shine on in our hearts!!!
