One is called It's A Dog's Life. Released in 55 it makes fun of a number of stereotypes of the past that today are so taboo that they are comedy. Violence against women being sexy and the joys of blood sport.

All tactfully presented without actually showing that sordid part of our collective past.

Another is Paint Your Wagon. Not not as striking with the stereotypes as the first film I've mentioned but hey Lee Marvin singing is a thing to behold.

Since I've segued into singing on film, quite deftly if I do say so myself, there is also a third flick I'll add to the list I said I couldn't sort out.
7 Brides For 7 Brothers. All that a singin' and a dancin' gets me all hepped up!
