RE: Kitchens
I only want a dishwasher than I shall be happy in the kitchen!

We are lucky enough that we have an electric stove and a gas stovetop. Having both of those is amazing! Boiling water works best on the electric, somehow it really does boil water quicker.

I didn't know what happiness was until I rented an apartment with one. Now I have to have a dishwasher in my kitchen!

The Groundhog lied. Winter will continue for the next 6 months.

I know I will sound like the laziest person in the world, but not only do I HAVE to have a dishwasher - I have an iRobot Scooba that cleans my hardwood and marble floors and an iRobot Roomba to vacuum the carpeted ones.

Technology ROCKS!

Could never get away with either of those in our house. Our dog's hair would kill them in a day...

We had dishwashers in our apartments. But, we never used them. Too noisey (this was 15+ years ago) and we never had enough to fill the dishwasher and would run out of dishes before it was full so we thought it was a waste.

I'm still debating on a dishwasher or not. Although, we may have to put our remodeling on hold for a little while. My wife's grandpa is moving in with us in the next month or two.

My neighbor is a vet and has cats and dogs in his home - they make a Roomba JUST FOR PET OWNERS. Doc swears by the Roomba Pet series... here is a youtube link... (it is the Roomba 532 Pet series)

RE: Kitchens
Hmm, I'll have to check into it more. Our dog is a shepherd/malamute so it has very thick and long hair and it sheds incredibly. Our regular vacuum we have to empty daily or else it plugs up because of the hair.

Would be interesting to test it out if possible...

RE: Kitchens
The only appliance in my kitchen now is the refrigerator. We just moved in to another house and some of our appliances are still left in our old house. I thought I can't live without the fridge so I chose to took it first.

RE: Kitchens
I wish I had something positive to report. Unfortunately, I've been dealing with issues outside my control that have taken a lot of my personal (and professional) time.

I'm still hoping to do it this winter so I'll keep everyone posted.
