I did a "Christmas for the Troops" drive at church and I'm filling boxes to send to Afghanistan. 18 boxes and counting. It's going to cost a fortune to ship, but that's OK. Turn up the music! Shouldn't cost any more than it would to ship a box to NYC...do you have an APO address? Use those flat rate boxes from the PO and that might save you some $$ as well! ![]() Love and respect... RE: What are you listening to?
Here's a little tidbit about Rik Emmet, we had a place called The White Wolf in Gaylord MI. Rik was advertising this solo deal on the net that offered up a night w/ him at your local favorite spot. My friend ponied up the 3 or 4 grand and airfare and all accommodations to have him do a two night gig at The Wolf and called me to help out and do sound. Long story short I offered up our PA which was almost enough to keep Rik happy, with addition of some rented gear. He had accompaniment from a keyboard player/ engineer who also ran the show. Turned out to be quite bizarre seeing as how the place only sat about 100 people. So it was indeed an intimate night with Rik Emmet, especially when he took his break and came back and performed the rest of the night with his fly half opened and his shirt hanging through it. I have it on film. Poor guy, nobody told him, not even his sound guy. All in all a good show, not even close to Triumph, imagine watching Ged without the guys. I mean no disrespect, Rik is a fabulous guitar player. Would rather see him rocking out then doing the acoustic solo thing though.

RE: What are you listening to?
Triumph was a great band ! I have the DVD of them playing the US
festival, and they had an abundance of really good songs. A must watch for all the old school people. Rik Emmett was so underated not only as a guitarist, but as a vocalist too. |
