nothing wrong with that at all. I find Floyd very relaxing.

So do I - that guy had a great voice....just too bad he couldnt work out his issues. There was still a bunch of music he could have been a part of IMHO

RE: What are you listening to?
I have heard people say that Staley was akin to Kurt "No Brains"... sorry - I disagree, with the exception that one way or the other, they both committed suicide.
Layne had that... "Voice"... like John Farnham (the Voice)... it was just a one time only deal. No one (including Cobain) had a voice like Staleys. Kobain simply did something new and interesting. Staley could tear down a freakin house with it.
Even Eddie Vedder had a "better" singing voice than Cobain, and can write as well as Kurt ever did.
Amazes me that talent seems to be drawn towards disaster. nature of the beast, I 'spose. Pisses me off to even think about it

Cobain....Oh PLEASE!
If you ask ME, and thats ONLY if you ask me, Cobain was a total dead beat. The only thing that made him was....he had a gimmick thats all. I wouldnt even call it interesting. Reminded me of listening to Yoko Ono on quayludes. Staley, however, could fill a whole arena singlehandedly with one eye tied behind him. Period. And a talent too, for writing in ways some have only begun to understand and appreciate. Vedder was ok, but Staley just nailed it to the wall, and then let in stand for what it was meant to be. I never have understood the stigma behind Cobain - and probably never will either. Staley just had issues I dont think anybody really knew or understood. But Cobain? No way - end of story.

RE: What are you listening to?
"When police kicked in the door to Layne Staley's University District apartment on April 20, there, on a couch, lit by a flickering TV, next to several spray-paint cans on the floor, not far from a small stash of cocaine, near two crack pipes on the coffee table, reposed the remains of the rock musician."
The 6'1" Staley weighed just 86 pounds when his body was discovered. The autopsy report later concluded that Staley had died after injecting a mixture of heroin and cocaine known as a speedball.
Sound familiar?
