Favorite Television Shows
I've seen threads for favorite movies, but not one for TV shows. Brutus, if I missed that thread, let me know (I many have missed it, however I've only had one cup of coffee this morning).
So, I'll start, and if you like kids shows (because you have kids......like I do, and are watching them almost more than your own favorite shows) that's fine too. Also, your spouse's favorite shows (because you are likely watching those shows with them) are fair game. My shows: -Gilmore Girls (my husband & daughter like this too) -19 Kids and Counting -Frontier House (it was on PBS 8 years ago and I LOVED it, so my husband bought the DVD for me and I can watch that any day) -Barefoot Contessa -House Hunters My husband likes: -Two and a Half Men -House -Family Guy -MASH -A-Team -Knight Rider -Roseanne My kids like (and which I hear most of the time): -Phineas & Ferb -iCarly -Sunny with a Chance -Hannah Montana Not a long list, but these shows, especially the ones for the kids, can usually be found at all hours of the day or night. Ok, now that I've probably given the impression that we're a bunch of couch potatoes, I'm going to take a walk

RE: Favorite Television Shows
Thank you Bagledeath for a simple templet.
Clarity now is like buttah clarified... reminds me of my Aunt Clara. But I digress! The formula: Kids Shows: -Gilmore Girls (aka 007 Roger Moore More by Roger Gilmore of Pink Floyd) -19 (K-19 The High Schoolhalls) (the Cuervo Gold, the Fine Columbian) -White House (it was on BP TV) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2fRSQ4L-SI -Barefoot Contessa (aka Aerosmith Walking in the Sand, Walking hand over fist on the BP oil spillors cut the paper but the rock must stand alone) -House Hunters (Who you gonna call? I aint frid of no ghosts on SCTV) My husband likes: -Two and a Half Men ( i like 2 women, only ) -House ( i don't need no rockin' chair) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKVbh_kpjgU -Family Guy- Shipoopee -MASH - scientific frontier america -A-Team ... what you talking about willis with a mohawk -Knight Rider - big brother -Roseanne-- good to see nola guy lost some weight My kids like (and which I hear most of the time): -Phineas & Ferb --- wheras i like Philosophy and Herb -iCarly -ePhilo -Sunny with a Chance-- partly cloudie for Chairy's sake -Hannah Montana ---- No, I'm Not Sorry - Cheech and Chong Not a long list, but these shows, especially the ones for the kids, can usually be found at all hours of the day or night. Ok, now that I've probably given the impression that we're a bunch of couch potatoes, I'm going to take a walk ANYTHING IS AVAILABLE FOR PEOPLE TO SEE THESE DAYS i'd love to take a two-smoke walk with you and not even talk But i progress by digressing... The sheriff is near! said blazing matzo balls The Caz Bar said rock it... and the sheriff didn't like it? Sharif don't like Oil Spill in his Poopy Pants? Vhroom the cash bar, rocket the carpet baggers, grab the oil munchers, and re-Hell's Kitchen for this lazy cow fart diner before people with kilts come cecking underneath for your new-world math. I know what a fulcrom is and i knoiw what a clucking bird timer is, but wtf is that drone? A precursor to why i am mad at mathematics. It's so.... truthful and unquestionable. so you put a keg of beer in the sands of time and drift off to the siesta sounds of 'like sands in the hourglass", so are the ghosts of our machines? what a rascal without limitz |

Oh, I forgot the most favorite show at our house and that would be most of the Star Trek shows (though DS9 is probably the least favorite) A party without cake is really just a meeting |

If you need a good cry, or watch the Olesons bicker, or laugh at Mr. Edwards, or even to just watch Pa beat someone up, it's a great show! We don't watch soaps either, a bit too goofy. My son would probably like Cops if they were "swear free" (that seems to be a thing with him these days). My husband named a cat of his after "Murdoch". He loves that character too. I forgot to mention "Everybody Loves Raymond" as one that we like. We know that if our parents (except my father) lived that close to us, they'd be over several times a day, just like Marie & Frank! RE: Favorite Television Shows
Hardly watch TV, but I do like a few shows:
24 Cheers Mad About You Sienfeld Black Sheep Squadron Biggest Loser My wife's list: Survivor Biggest Loser Hell's Kitchen 24 CSI Son's list: Supernatural Cartoons (darn near any of them) Yu-Gi-Oh! (I used to watch the first series with him when it was on Saturday AM) CSI I think I watch about 4 hours of TV a week. But, when the shows were on in Prime Time, we'd sit and watch them. Now that they're on at odd times, it's more a matter of if nothing else is on and I'm flipping channels I'll watch them. |

RE: Favorite Television Shows
The Big Bang Theory
How I Met Your Mother Then anything on History and Discovery Science. Love Into The Universe With Stephen Hawking and the new Through The Wormhole With Morgan Freeman. I am/was a huge fan of House Hunters till I learned how they do the episodes. Takes the fun out of it for me now. You only get on the show if your already in Escrow. The other two choices that are filmed, are only shown to allow viewers the option of making the choice themselves. Apparently as of a few years ago you got 500 bucks for doing the show. |

(06-14-2010 10:03 AM)Datura Wrote: The Big Bang Theory We used to watch "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" regularly, until someone in a nearby town had a house built by the show. It was July, hot, and humid, and we were camped out with the rest of the crowd for about 7 hours (really not fun when you have an inflexible, autistic son with you, wanting us to make everyone else hurry up, and yet wanting to see the family see their house). 4 hours before the family arrived, they filming crew taped all of us yelling and whooping it up as if the family had actually driven up (it was limo with a decoy family) and by then, my son was really hacked off because he thought that it was the real family etc. It was a really long day. We don't resent doing that, and even my son still talks about it as if he had a fun day, however, it took the fun out of watching the show for us after that.
