My 3 most recent dining adventures
I love dining out... I consider a fine meal on the town as an event to be celebrated and cherished.
My girlfriend and I travel often and I'll chime in on our last 3 restaurants: Giardina's (inside The Alluvian hotel) - Greenwood, Mississippi Well this one is a slam dunk for me, as it is not only in my town but it is next door to my loft. Quite an interesting menu and an AMAZING wine list. Chef Nick Seaburgh comes up with some adventurous specials each week... OF NOTE: Their 'prohibition-era' private dining booths are wonderfully private or they do have a main dining room. http://www.thealluvian.com/ Mary Mahoney's Old French House - Biloxi, Mississippi This restaurant is immediately across the street from the Beau Rivage and Hard Rock Hotels and was incredibly wonderful! The service was stellar and the food was immaculate! Their wine list could use some help, but it is Mississippi and their wines are state controlled. http://www.marymahoneys.com Nu Sushi - Manhattan, NYC Wow - what an amazing sushi place... I was flabbergasted... I have not had sushi this professionally prepared since Tokyo. http://www.nusushinyc.com Next time I'll rant about my amazing meal at The French Laundry in Napa Valley... "Food - Glorious Food!" |
