One of the things I like about Bubba's is the creativity it seems to spark in folks.
You look at someone's recipe, which may be really good all on its own, but your experence or perspective may give a good recipe a different spin, turning good into great! Big Grin

^^^Agreed! A good recipe is the gift that keeps on giving.Cool

This year's turkey brine recipe.

1 gal water
3 cups apple cider
3/4 cup kosher salt
3/4 cup brown sugar
10 peppercorns
1 dried red chile
10 garlic cloves crushed with skin
1-3 bay leaf
Bit of sage-bit of rosemary(go easy on these, a little goes a loooong way)
Rind from 1 orange

-Bring all ingredients to boil...turn off heat immediately...let rest until room temp.
-Place one ordinary oven bag into a bucket with edges folded over. Place turkey in bag and pour liquid into bag. Seal bag and refrigerate 24hrs.
