^^^Agreed! A good recipe is the gift that keeps on giving.
![]() This year's turkey brine recipe. 1 gal water 3 cups apple cider 3/4 cup kosher salt 3/4 cup brown sugar 10 peppercorns 1 dried red chile 10 garlic cloves crushed with skin 1-3 bay leaf Bit of sage-bit of rosemary(go easy on these, a little goes a loooong way) Rind from 1 orange ![]() -Bring all ingredients to boil...turn off heat immediately...let rest until room temp. -Place one ordinary oven bag into a bucket with edges folded over. Place turkey in bag and pour liquid into bag. Seal bag and refrigerate 24hrs. ![]() Succulent, moist bird every time. ![]() . To ask why we cook is to ask why the leaves fall... |
