Ice Cream
As I had put a quick note in the "Gruntled" thread, there is a nice family run creamery that has just opened up in our area of the world. They take the milk from their cows and on site turn it into the homemade ice cream. http://www.kelleycountrycreamery.com. Lots of flavors to choose from, our tasting of sundaes were the Farmer's Wife and the Top of the Mornin'. Both were very good.
If you can't play by OUR rules take your toys and go home!!

RE: Ice Cream
Now I want to get some ice cream, and I haven't had breakfast yet.
On the Oregon coast, Florence & Newport specifically, there is a small chain of ice cream stores called BJ's. They have the creamiest, most delicious ice cream that we have ever had, and anytime we go to the coast, we make a point to stop there for a treat (even if it's for a midmorning snack). A party without cake is really just a meeting |

RE: Ice Cream
Great little frozen custard stand near us. Erma's Frozen Custard has been around since 1942. It is the best in the area! Each week they have a different flavor...some of them are amazing.
http://www.ermascustard.com/ Just might have to take the kids later this week (when I am not working). |

RE: Ice Cream
I have become addicted to a Kroger Private Selection flavor Banana Cream Pie.
I will eat the carton in 2 days if given the chance so I don't buy it weekly. It is a limited addition and it completely disappeared between fall and spring, so somehow I've got to figure out how to stock up without eating it all right away.

RE: Ice Cream
I know this might seem a little crazy, but I would love to have a hot fudge sundae from Shermans Ice Cream Parlor in Michigan. Every time I drive by there in the summer I stop by and chat with the owners. Unfortunately I do not get there as often as I would like but their ice cream sure is good, and with all this new warm weather we will get this week, I would love a hot fudge sundae right now!

Hi Radar, My eldest brother lives in Michigan - funny old world - we used to all ride in a big motorbike gang, and one of the blokes who occassionally rode with us had the nickname, Radar - on account that he did actually look like him. She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker" |

RE: Ice Cream
What part of Michigan? I enjoy motorcycles but I dont know that I ever ran across anyone actually looking like Radar. Thats my screen name on everything because thats my demeanor around others at least thats what my sisters tell me. I never had a good childhood much and love animals...kind of like Radar.
Sometimes I like to drive along Lake Michigan just for a neat summertime drive. |

Quote:What part of Michigan? I am embarrassed to say I am not sure. I think it maybe Cedar Rapids, or something heights - funny in the modern world of internet we only correspond via email - (some years ago we agreed not to buy presents for one another and the kids as it was too much hastle, negating the need for postal addresses). How about Grand Rapids? My parents live not far from Grand Rapids....little town called Allegan. Sure they are having a difficult time with all this snow. For You Steve & Monica - Your Love will forever shine on in our hearts!!!
