Las Vegas
I am up for suggestions for good eats in Sin City. My brother and I will be there for a couple of days to see my two favorite bands in this universe. How about best burger? I know the Grand Lux at the Venetian has an outstanding one but we are always looking for a little healthy competition.

If you like sushi, there is an all you can eat place called Todai. It costs around 40 per person and is well worth it. They also have cooked stuff and occasionally lobster! It's at the Planet Hollywood Mall. Everyone says go to the Rio for their buffet but I've never been. The line was around the casino. I think they have a gormet hamburger place at Planet Hollywood and Cesar's. Forget their names but if you go to either Casino you'll run into them. The one at Planet Hollywood was excellent.

Thanks for the sushi idea. I would definitely be leaning more toward the cooked fishies (it's a texture thing).

RE: Las Vegas
My wife and I have been to Las Vegas several times, including last year for Rush. We have had many fine dining experiences.

Rao's, in Caesars Palace, is incredible. I had a steak there that, if it had been socially acceptable, I would have licked my plate clean.

Olives, at Bellagio, is really good. I think I had lamb there, but I can't remember for sure. The only thing I didn't like was that the tables were very close together.

We had some amazing seafood at Aquaknox, located in The Venetian. Delicious oysters on the half shell followed by swordfish that was magnificent.

There's a sushi place in MGM as well called Shibuya. It is pretty good, but not great. We liked the sushi better at Hyakumi, at Caesars.

Before the concert last year we went to Wolfgang Puck's at MGM for good old pizza. It's a nice spot, good beer, and not terribly expensive. We'll go back there this June before the show. We're also going to try Red Square at Mandalay bay, and see how that is.

So here's us, on the raggedy edge....

If you like Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere, try Battitsta's Hole in the Wall

Great food, complimentary house wine, wandering accordion player... very fun. Big Grin

Also, Fleur in the Mandalay Bay comes highly recommended.

... in a world where I feel so small I can't stop thinking big!
