What I have been really curious to find out is - what would the wind chill affect be at those temperatures - not that we dared ride fast, but I have riden at say 60mph when there is a couple degrees of frost.

All this before the thermal gear you can get now. I was always frozen, shivering, and 9 stone in weight - all the fat was burned off keeping warm!!

I'm trying to remember an old joke that has the line, "What's a hen weigh?" That's just a preamble to my question, "What's a stone weigh?"

But to answer your wind chill factor question I'll suggest this link and as a reference point, the temperature here in Cowfart today when I was out shoveling the sidewalk (they have sidewalk police here that will give you a ticket if you don't clear the snow in front of your home!) the temp was -22 C with a windchill factor of -32. But it was windy and that seems to be the determining factor, especially on a bike. Speed Chills!

I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughtnut... I don't need a receipt for the doughnut. I give you money and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario that I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut. To some skeptical friend, 'Don't even act like I didn't get that doughnut, I've got the documentation right here... It's in my file at home. ...Under "D".'

14lbs to a stone so I was 126lbs and 6ft tall - or as a mate would say, "like a match with the wood scraped off"

Yeah - like the Hen Weigh, like a Hammer For.

It is now -33 here in Cowfart and the wind is blowing. Something about it being -44 with the windchill. Thank god for block heaters, remote start and heated seats. But still......enough already!

Bloody hell - Canada sounds cold. Have you ever parked next to a lorry in a traffic jam just to get some heat from it`s exhaust - and clutched like a maniac to your bikes engine cylinders just to get some warmth?
In those days the only way to warm up was a hot bath when you got home - the thought of having to go out again was so depressing.
