RE: Verse
I wrote that covering a study hall the day before Christmas vacation.

"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then."
"Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup."
"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."

RE: Verse
Monarchs float on

Currents invisible

Like feathers with wings

As the late day sun bakes

With warm approval

Orange glow

While shadows tiptoe

Across the garden

Over wild oregano

And purple hydrangea

Light collides with dusk

Slowly extinguished

By tall evergreens that rise above

Moist earth like pillars

Ancient like the wind.

Very nice!

May I illustrate it?

I took this at the Pacific Science Center last winter in their butterfly house.

... in a world where I feel so small I can't stop thinking big!

I like it Vincent, and since it was written on my 33rd birthday, I double approve!

My younger daughter's 1st grade class has a butterfly cage where they've been "hatching" butterflies since the beginning of the school year. So far they've released Monarchs, Painted Ladies and Swallowtails.

Blah blah blah....yada yada yada!

My daughter and I have "hatched" and released Painted Lady Butterflies, but where could I get the other ones?

I hatch painted ladies in the spring with my class, but not the others. Do you know if they collect caterpillars or chrysalis' over the summer, and save them for the fall?

The Groundhog lied.

The butterfly house at the Detroit Zoo is one my favorite places there. You walk through (watch your step) and they land on you and flutter all around...just beautiful.
