Many years ago, I was watching The Eagles' reunion concert and couldn't figure out who the guy was with the really short hair who definitely looked like he'd just walked out of courtroom and strapped on a guitar. And then he played "Rocky Mountain Way" and I realized it was Joe Walsh: had he ever changed!

RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here...
A lot of "old reformed" rock stars look like they could be lawyers / accountants / etc. Eddie Van Halen looks pretty studious with the short hair, and Bruce Dickenson (Iron Maiden) looks very much the airline pilot he is in his flying uniform......
Although there was a pic of Brian May in the Times this weekend - and he has still got all the hair, trouble is it is all grey - looks a bit like your favourite Granny..(Sorry Brian if you are reading this). I thought some shots of the guitar bloke from the CPT looked very much like Brother Cadfael (if you have ever seen this programme) especially the "thinning hair" monks look. Oddly enough (and I have a pretty rare surname) there is a bloke who was driving one of the underground tube trains on the 7/7 terrorist attacks, who not only shares my surname but also my christian name - Now this bloke looks like a rock drummer - big bloke, long hair - looks a bit like John Bonham. I expect if anyone was searching for me and found him, they would think, yeah thats the rock drummer.. She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker" |

RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here...
Hahahaha........I was at CPT European Event and they were playing a DVD of the CPT from somewhere, and my mate and I were watching and said, "Who does AL remind you of?", and we both said, "Brother Cadfael".........
Still better that way than doing a Matthias Jabbs (Scorpions Lead Guitar) and wearing various hats, head bands, visors etc to try and fool people they are not follickly challenged. She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker" |

I looked at some pictures of Brother Cadfael...and you are so right. Unfortunately. ![]() Al has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and not because of his guitar playing. The Groundhog lied. |

At least there is no comb over, syrup of figs (wigs) or hats, or Wayne Rooney hair weaves, just goold old AL, going thin - happens to all blokes eventually - well Jimmy Page and Brian May seem to have avoided it...but

When I took a few Classics courses early in my university career, several of the profs warned us that a number of books were definitely, um, not for children....
