RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here...
Actually - if you are talking scotch and pies, my new whisky book says that the Dalwhinnie 15 yr is a bit sweeter and probably matches better, but I'll look it up to be sure when I get home.

Actually I have had Macallan with apple crisp and the pair went well I thought, but like I said before - I'm no foodie and I dont claim to be. Now the Dalwhinnie does go better with sweeter desserts like a chocoloate mousse or strawberry pie because it has honey extracts in it.

Guess it all depends on your own palatte

As I said on Scotch and Food pairings - the only thing to have with Scotch, is.....er..another one! Although when I smoked, I used to love a cigar and whisky.....Another pleasure denied me by the medical profession......

RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here...
Even though I don't have the slightest clue, I would be inclined to
believe that he would stop by from time to time to look at his "creation."
However, some in here are close to him and can just fill him in if he ask.
So who knows (someone?)?
I personally (and this is me speaking out of pure ignorance) don't think
that he would actively participate in the forums. Here is why; when
people get wind about the presence of any celebrity, the tend to stop
being themselves and start acting in all kinds of funny ways. And that's
what would happen here if he were openly participating in the forums.
His absense or non-participation is what keeps these forums "honest."
People need to know who they are and be comfortable in their own skin.
They don't need to pretend to be somebody they're not in order to gain
someone else's approval. Let's face it, while we all can choose to get
along, the truth is, we all have our preferences to those that we choose
to spend our time with. In that aspect, we are all alike.
