Winston Churchill........

Maybe that's what was served at the Yalta Conference! Churchill, Stalin & FDR seemed to look like they were getting along in those pics! It was due to Scotch and pie!

I personally (and this is me speaking out of pure ignorance) don't think
that he would actively participate in the forums. Here is why; when
people get wind about the presence of any celebrity, the tend to stop
being themselves and start acting in all kinds of funny ways. And that's
what would happen here if he were openly participating in the forums.
His absense or non-participation is what keeps these forums "honest."
People need to know who they are and be comfortable in their own skin.
They don't need to pretend to be somebody they're not in order to gain
someone else's approval. Let's face it, while we all can choose to get
along, the truth is, we all have our preferences to those that we choose
to spend our time with. In that aspect, we are all alike.

True, but I tend to believe that a core group of us would act just as weird as we have been, despite the presence of Bubba. It's just the way we are.

Ummm...yup. It wouldn't change a thing for a few of us if he stopped by now and then. He would just see that we are a little off Tongue

RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here...
Yes, we are indeed expressive individuals with no concern about being real or phony for anyone's sake. I admit I'm aware of the fact that IF Bubba might decide to drop by, he'd first... be secret about it. So NOT knowing IF that's the case I try to be myself in a way that wouldn't make him think I might be a Jerk. A dork, dweeb, twit, geek maybe...but not a Jerk.

Besides, if I really were trying too hard to be something (besides not being a Jerk) that I'm not, then I would have surely proof read my threads and noticed my despicable errors and typos!

On the topic of Caprielle coming back from Nicaragua, I can really say that it affected her in a positive way. It was a blessing for all involved in the trip.

On the topic of Gio "Feet" (read drumming thread), he doesn't even realize the impact of last Sunday's wedding. He's still talking about it. I surely haven't recovered yet!

On the topic of "Cooking with The Macallan.... I tend to think it would be great to flambé it with Fillet Mignon in a butter blackberry reduction, after of course MARINATING it in The Macallan for 24 hours prior to grill searing until cooked medium slightly rare. It needs to be served with an arugula salad in lemon vinegarette with slithers of the finest cheese compliment, according to personal palette, followed by The Macallan and later a Sazerac.

It must be served outside on a quiet night when natures scent fills the air with the slight breeze brushing against you gently with culinary reverence.

"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then."
"Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup."
"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end."

Gosh, Vincent... can I come over for dinner that night? Big Grin

BTW, My Hubby sat down with a Macallan and a bit of chocolate last night. He thinks they go together very well. Me, I like either one straight up Wink

This is one of the few places that I can be "a little off". I can't be as "off" when I'm on mom duty, so this place is nice and fun Smile

I'm not surprised that they could compliment each other. Chocolates are often baked or mixed with alcohol and are very good Smile
