But, ya know, they are just folks, too. I've found that, when I am given the chance to chat with someone, I'm much more interested in their views on current events, what they like to do to relax, what they're reading... you know, everyday stuff. I mean, we already know about whatever it is they do that puts them in the spotlight, don't we? There are much more interesting things to talk about and I want to discuss things that we have in common, not why they are where they are. I've had some pretty nice chats, too That's a VERY interesting comment, Scythe, and right in line with what I've heard from Bubba on numerous documentaries, ie: he doesn't get the adulation thing. The few celebrities and famous people I've met/known have longed for a few moments of normalcy, a few precious seconds out of "The Guilded Cage". I bet they really appreciated the time you spent with THEM. On a somewhat similar note, I'm always reminded of something Ged said on one of their DVDs after getting off of a plane. There was a throng of people with signs, heralding their arrival. Ged turned to the camera and said, "This is not a noble pursuit." THAT is why this band has been together for so long.
