Well, at least we are entertaining. Right, RIGHT?
... in a world where I feel so small I can't stop thinking big! |

RE: You KNOW that Bubba's on here...
A maple leaf thong...I think that "BubbaWear" should sell it....a big red leaf with the words "Eat at Bubba's!"
Speaking of Bubba... Apparently there are many individuals called "Bubba" out there. One to note... On Fire Island, in the municipality known as Ocean Beach (The Land of "No" - Nothing is allowed there; actually, some things are allowed), there is a bartender at "Maguires", a cool little bar/restaurant on the water, who goes by the nickname "Bubba." I have not met him but I hear he's a real character. Generally anyone named "Bubba" would be, I imagine. Also speaking of Bubba... I have been reflecting on the state of my distant friend... The recent NEWS blast was very enjoyable. I feel a particular gladness at the fact that the tour is over and that he could get back to loved ones and living life AT HOME finally. The line "I can deal with missing her, but can't deal with her missing ME" is touching. I got a bit choked up at that one. I know that feeling, when obligations/work go away for a season, and the sense of comfort comes upon you...wow. You earned it pal! Nothing to do but look at birds in the backyard feeder with Olivia, take nice hand in hand walks, to soak up all of those special uninterrupted daddy/daughter moments that mean so much! I can really identify with that. "Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." "Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup." "Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." |

We lost another Bubba yesterday too..
Bubba Smith - May he rest in peace. Man, he used to tear it up on the grid iron - Didn't mind him in those silly Police Academy movies either. |

Yep - saw that. Sad to watch people that you once believed invincible succumb to entropy and decay.
=/ I need a drink. You signed the contract - you must do my bidding
