I welcome the noise! It actually sounds like music now. It was a great gift from my brother-even my wife sees the growth and change in my son. Drums boosted his confidence, plus I get to play as well! We have another lesson today though I confess I haven't had time to REALLY practice.
On the topic of Barney-though I tried to ban it, I was alas overridden by just about everybody. I have to say they both came out fine in spite of that exposure. After all, we watched HR Puffinstuff and Sigmond and the Seamonsters! ...and Wonderama, which was my earliest favorite show. "Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then."
