RE: The things kids say...
So, we're doing prayer this morning, and praying for the owies we got this weekend, etc., and one little friend pipes up:
Little friend: "I heard there was a tornado in Chicago yesterday!"

Me: "Um, no sweetie, that was a NATO meeting."

Angel

The Groundhog lied. Winter will continue for the next 6 months.

Right now we are busy singing the ABC's at home. Little Miss K, love singing them as demonstratively as she can and I cannot help but love it when she gets to "coo" and "Double X". Not nearly as cute as her wanting her stuffed placilan (Pelican) but close.

Overheard in Casa de burma:
[Scene: Living room. MIL's purse sitting on floor, cell phone inside. Phone starts ringing loudly.]
Lil' Bubbers [my son, age 4, hearing phone from the other side of the house]: "SOMEBODY'S VIBRATING!!!"

Blah blah blah....yada yada yada!

RE: The things kids say...
Okay, I have our favorite one that Katie did when she was about 3:

We had a roommate (thank goodness because he was home to help me quite a lot) at the time. He is Katie's godfather and was there when she was born. Anyway, we had only one bathroom in the house, between B & my bedroom and Katie's room. It was very small but somehow we managed to work it with 3 adults and a child. Anyway, one night Dave (the roommate) was taking a shower. He had just come out and was dripping wet when Katie threw the door open before I could stop her. We all held our breath..... then, "Uncle Dave has a TAIL!"

... in a world where I feel so small I can't stop thinking big!

RE: The things kids say...
Youngest daughter, Livi, when she was a lot younger, had a very sensitive stomach, (still has but has learned how to control it I suppose), and when, say, a dog with bad breath would come up to her, it would make her sick.

She would then look up at us and say, "That made me a little bit sick of it"

We were house hunting once and the house we looked at was awful, smelly dogs, gerbils, clothing, house the works, and she was dry retching as we were shown around the place - fortunately she was not sick of it that day, but we were.

She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker"

The other day, my son overheard my husby and I talking about the gray/white hair that we were noticing on our heads lately. The boy responds in a matter-of-fact tone, "Ah, so your getting elderly"

And yesterday, my son was showing my daughter one of his toy cars, and turned to her and asked, "Heather, I'm not supposed to put bodies in the trunk of this, right?"
