RE: Change of season
Well, I have my own battle with weight, brought on by prednizone. I hate that stuff. Bad knees, so doc puts me on it to help get me on my feet. Didnt tell me about the weight gain, so I am trying to lose it. Lost about 50 pounds so far, have another 70 to go.

Of course - quitting the six pack Friday nights helps a lot.

RE: Change of season
Wow! That's a serious change of season brother man! Fifty pounds is awesome.
I'm built like a noseguard I'm told. I am very active and constantly into something physical, but I eat bad. Love to eat bad. Ice cream, cake, cookies, cream, all the letter c group.
I'm a work in progress so to speak because the way I live now compared to a year ago is night and day. A year ago working out was a chore that I just needed to check off the list and get done. Today some things have changed and I'm actually loving the things I used to hate, like exersize and meditation. And I am slowly starting to change my habits eating wise. For me, and me only, I had to stop drinking. A Personal choice for many reasons but one of the reasons was to get into shape again. But fifty pounds? I don't know man that's alot a tacos.

RE: Change of season
Congratulations on the weight loss Boomer!

I'm still working on letting go of a lot of weight as well. I can't call it "baby weight" since my "baby" is 12!

RE: Change of season
Hey - I am not exactly a role model for good eating. We try, but things like Friday night pizza and Sunday morning homemade biscuits and gravy still find their way onto my plate. Weight loss is an everyday battle for everyone. For me its been a bad nightmare. Normally I am very active, and the last couple years I have gotten better, but when I went from field surveyor to office grunt I started putting on pounds. Then the predizone came and violay! I am now the Stay Puf Marshmallow Man!!! I guess if there is a good part, I have discovered my $300 motorcycle pants are too big! The belt on them is at the smallest and they still fall off. I am holding them up with suspenders, but by next riding season I may have to invest in another pair. I am not exactly an ATTGATT rider - I only live 1.5 miles from my office so I dont wear all the leather for trips to work, but when you need those little pieces of safety gear you want to make sure they stay on your body as you go skidding across the highway.

Stay tuned. I am starting a workout ethic which I hope will help shed those remaining pounds. I just fail to see how Bagel needs to lose weight!

Hahaha, well thanks, I guess that means that I've disguised the extra weight well. Believe me, my knees would be happier if I lost more weight.

We still have pizza and other goodies here at our house too. I love pasta with cheese sauces.........biscuits & gravy.............and pretty much anything with chocolate! This season hasn't been easy for me because when I go to the grocery store, and I see those Reeses miniature cups, in their holiday wrappers, I'm very tempted to buy a bag for to bring home and put in a candy dish for the family. Unfortunately, it's too tempting. Chocolate is just never safe at our house.

RE: Change of season
Oh...not you too!

My wife is a chocoholic. I swear, every time she walks by the candy isle bags of M&MS just follow her home like a herd of buffalo. And if it isnt M&Ms, I can usually find her chasing her OTHER addiction - Starbucks. Of course, we knew about Starbucks and other such coffee nonsense LOOOONG before they hit the big time. If I bought Harley stuff like she gulps down those frappucinos, I'd be broke!

RE: Change of season
That is one big chunk of chuck boomer. Been awhile since I got even the smallest of chuckels "hold that position sailor" That's just plain nasty the horror of it all. I guess it would be best to stay on the food topic.

Some people take advantage of what they can and make a cross word puzzle you can't possibly solve.
Imponderable time crystallized vanishing back form once we came ahead like a mirage of our previous self feeling invincible from what must of been known faced with the brink of disaster in an instant fierce obliteration as metabolisum of our spirit as the entrails wander in a sudden burst of light fixed into their own pigmentation circulating serene and calm held by electric fusion waiting for the thinness of air and water for the accumulations to burst into another time clinging to a chaotic darkness of life descending to redeem mans flesh upon himself once again to start the madness which is divine as the children are told nothing mortal or fallible less invoke fear and pity as the stars shine bright in the mid-day sun swimming out of the gloom to continue on the journey

I once asked Mr. Rogers for his autograph
