RE: Change of season
I'm so sorry thing didn't work out in the romance department.
Give me Revelation indeed...I could use some myself.
As someone once said "something will come up".

Going for a star, hey? Is it going to be a gold one?

The Groundhog lied.

Thank you for all your kind words. I look at this change of season as being refined. Like a big chunk of metal in a really hot fire.

Don't talk smack about Total!!

I'm sorry to hear your news NBC Sad
That kind of thing is always tough.

Hoping that things improve in the work situation though.

Indeed. Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs to meet your princess or prince. Hang in there.

RE: Change of season
Change of season...<sigh>...

My recreational activities have always been such that being physically fit(aerobic and anaerobic) is a must to reduce the risk of serious injury. So physical activity to increase/maintain strength and stamina long ago became a flow activity for me. An intrinsic part of a life well lived so to speak. Running is a huge part of my program...I love it. At least it was until last week. Long story short, I've been diagnosed with degenerative osteoarthritis in my knee(the one with pins and screws in it).

Orthoguy: Your running days are over.

Me: But but but...what if I were to blahblahblahblah?

Orthoguy: Sure, you can do that and still run. But then you'd need a full knee replacement before you're 50. You need to go to the next level.

Me: The next level? Is that some diplomatic euphemism for I'm too old and beat up to run, so now I have to give up what I love and start swimming or (heaven forbid)become a pushbike guy?

Orthoguy: Yes

Fook...Sad

RE: Change of season
You can't just walk? That would be less wearing on your knees. And you can still enjoy the outdoors... just more slowly. Smile

... in a world where I feel so small I can't stop thinking big!

RE: Change of season
Get ya a bicycle...that's a great, low impact aerobic activity. I've got OA in both knees (aggrivated by bi-lat ACL reconstruction/pins/screws/etc) as well...it sucks. Biking is about the only thing that doesn't hurt. Those clipless pedals are great for aligning your knee in the least-resistant or least-painful way.

Love and respect...
