RE: Change of season
Scythe...we're on the same page. The day after my little bombshell I started walking on an incline treadmill. I can burn my usual 500-700cal every morning in roughly the same amount of time without too much discomfort. It's certainly not the same, but we do what we must. Perhaps "the next level" is simply accepting the situation, as well as adapting to and overcoming it. The more things change, the more they stay the same eh?
CD...that may be the upshot alright. I've got a lot of riding/racing buddies totally into the cycling scene. They've been sending me craiglist ads for the latest greatest pushbikes for days now. Maybe they're right, but then again...those weirdos shave their legs and think they look cool in their pink kit. Btw, looks like we have a lot in common with the OA and ACL reconstruction thing. At least we know when it's gonna rain huh?Rey...very insightful. My "heaven forbid" comment was semi tongue-in-cheek, but semi serious too. I've spent the last quarter century riding public roads, hurling epithets and shaking my fist at inconsiderate cyclists who think they're special. I'd have to eat a lot of crow if I started cycling, but...uh...it sure wouldn't be the first time. ![]() Thanks for the replies and food for thought... To ask why we cook is to ask why the leaves fall... |
