Pancake Wrapped Sausage Deep Fried with Maple Syrup
Who cares about arteries when you eat something like this...

Take your favorite sausage and wrap it in a fresh made pancake so that the pancake sticks to itself. Now sure how to achieve this. Deep fry and serve with REAL hot maple syrup. Yum!

My daughter and I think a nice variation would be to add eggs, cheese and perhaps bacon as a substitute for the sausage.

Ever try deep fried bacon. It would go quite well with the pancake wrapped sausage.
Deep fried bacon is the best I have ever tasted!

I would imagine you really get flavor if you deep fry it in a mixture of butter and coconut oil. Yeah!

RE: Pancake Wrapped Sausage Deep Fried with Maple Syrup
We have a deep fat fry fest every year when camping season starts. We we deep fry anything anyone wants. You name it we are game to fry it. That is where we discovered deep fried bacon. I had some in the fridge in the camper and it has never been the same. Last year I had to fry several pounds to satisfy our friends and family. Talk about some arteries clogging! I also make some killer chicken nuggets, but they take some time to make so I don't make them every year. Gotta keep them wanting more Wink

Try turkeys if you havent already. One deep fried turkey and you will NEVER cook in the oven again. Just make sure the fryer is a good distance from the house! Seems like every Thanksgiving we hear about one or two guys who burn the house down because they put the fryer too close to the house, it tips over, and flame on.

Home made funnel cakes....Now there is some down home cookin there!

I have had deep fried turkey. A friend of ours is bringing his up next to add to the fried goodness.

Hmmm...funnel cakes, those would be easy and tasty!

RE: Pancake Wrapped Sausage Deep Fried with Maple Syrup
Couple years ago we did about 4 whole boneless turkey breasts deep fried. Might get our own fryer next year though.
