Yes, some drummers have many snare drums. I can see how it might get out of hand!

I love the traditional marching band snare sound, not the dry, brittle sound that is popular nowadays. Here is that classic sound showcased in the track I mentioned above (Yes' "Future times")

I'd like to pick up an old 1960's or 70's Ludwig marching snare.

Haha - yes I am very lucky. She looks a lot like Julia Roberts from the Pretty Woman era, and was a fan of Cynic (UK) before we met!!Tongue

I enjoyed hearing that Yes track - I had forgotten what a good band they were. I am not sure how much a marching snare would go for. I bet you could pick them up pretty reasonably at an army surplus sale over here, but it would only be Premier. No problem with that, but it wouldn't be a Ludwig.

I am glad you enjoyed the track. Isn't that snare drum pattern fun? I remember it live back in 1978. The good ole days, for sure!
