Great Intro`s
Having had a recent trying time at work with my boss, I thought I might share with you my favourite intro`s to songs, which by the punctuation of the cymbal. bass and guitar stabs, feels like you are "punching" your boss. For me great therapy!
AC/DC Highway to Hell RUSH Limelight Bad Company Cant get Enough UFO Rock Bottom and my best ever - Deep Purple - Space Truckin!! |

RE: Great Intro`s
Openings?
Some of my favs.... Xanadu ( live version from video with Bubba's old Tama setup) The Camera Eye ( actually filmed a video for Savannah Kawasaki but local stations wouldn't use it due to copyrights - Bubba woulda' loved it!) *I will cease with my obvious listings here - there would be too many from the guyzzzz. Won't Get Fooled Again Baba O'Reiley Clair de Lune (Debussy) Brothers In Arms (Dire Straits) New York Minute (Don Henley) Long Way There (Little River Band) I Just want to Celebrate (Rare Earth) "11111 2222222 333333 444444....!!" On The Loose (Saga) Voodoo Chile ( Stevy Ray Vaughn's version ) Fragile (Sting) Dear Prudence (Beatles) I hope everyone ran the one's they remembered through their heads - and perhaps sought out and listened to what they didn't recognize. .....more anyone? You signed the contract - you must do my bidding

RE: Great Intro`s
I think I am gonna second most of Mufasa's....I mena - he even has Saga on there. How cool is that!
But I do have a few of my own. Superstitious - - Stevie Ray Vaughn For the Love of God - Steve Vai She's Got The Jack - AC DC Balls To The Walls - Accept Where is the Next One Comin From - Buddy Guy Cold Shot - Stevie Ray Vaughn Blue on Black - Kenny Wayne Shepherd Just Wait - Blues Traveler YYZ (wonder who?) Sometimes I get so mad at the bosses I end up putting something like Pantera or Tool on my Ipod - then I get so stoked I go clean the garage. Twice! Nothing like a little german indian temper to liven the place up, eh? For You Steve & Monica - Your Love will forever shine on in our hearts!!!

RE: Great Intro`s
Quote:live version from video with Bubba's old Tama setup I might be ex -communicated for saying this, but I always liked better the sound of the Tama`s, way above Bubba`s Slingerland, Ludwig and DW`s |

RE: Great Intro`s
FLOG HIM!!!!!!
You could probably fill VOLUMES about the different sounding sets he has had, but truth be told - I like the DW's because they have a sound and tonal quality that maybe some of the others didnt always have. The shells tend to resonate the sound better - IMHO, but hey. What do I know?!?!? For You Steve & Monica - Your Love will forever shine on in our hearts!!!

The shells tend to resonate the sound better DW`s do seem to have a beautiful tone - lets face it, nearly every pro drummer uses them, but those little Tama concert toms, for me, what they lacked in tone they made up for in attack - especially those Bubba fills on Moving Pictures which started off in your left speaker, and finished an octave or so later in your right speaker |

RE: Great Intro`s
Whao dude - sing it OHR!
Poor NWoBHM! We aren't ready to run you out just yet. In fact your point is well made, but having stood next to some DW toms vs Tamas, the sound quality is unmatched, so I guess it just depends on what you the listener like. But - the thrill of hearing that whole line from left to right - pure magnificence! If only I could play half that good. Dont worry NWo - we'll use wet lasagna noodles! For You Steve & Monica - Your Love will forever shine on in our hearts!!!
