I priced the 30 year Friday online - currently selling for $360 +/- per bottle. If I am lucky I might see a bottle of 21 year, otherwise my next purchase of Appleton (my first bottle is already half gone!) will be the 12 year vintage, after January 1. Maybe.

I swear guys - we ought to pool our resources this Spring and have a bottle of this elusive, golden elixir shipped to specific point of interest - meet there, and get trashed as a bathtub full of otters.
I'm sure we could locate a nice view somewhere along one of the Great Lakes, with a nearby motel to recover in. Sayin?

Another great rum is made by Barbancourt in Haiti. Their 15 year old Rhum Barbancourt Estate Reserve is best served on the rocks. haven't priced any in a while, but I do know that they have been active in earthquake relief.

RE: Arrrrrhh.... RUM!!!
I had some Bacardi Anejo when I was in the Bahamas -- I'm not really a rum drinker (except for hot buttered ones in winter!), but it was quite nice, especially mixed half-and-half with fresh, right-out-of-the-green-coconut, milk.

And Gosling's Black Seal is rather tasty too.

Nah: it's a Bahamanian thing. Straight rum -- when it's good stuff -- is fine as well, but geez, when you mix the really cheap stuff with awesome coconut stuff.....

mmmmmm!
